📋 Description
- • Build AI agents that autonomously handle 90% of non-calling, non-creative sales development representative (SDR) tasks, including account strategy, prospect research, outbound email, LinkedIn DMs, gifting, call prep, and followups.
- • Own end-to-end revenue outcomes for customer accounts, with a goal of delivering a 5x increase in meetings booked within a 1-month trial period.
- • Design and deploy agents that learn over time, calibrate trust with users, and are evaluated through clear, measurable performance metrics that demonstrate tangible impact on customer revenue.
- • Work directly with customers via shared Slack channels and real-time calls, incorporating immediate user feedback into daily iterations of agent behavior and functionality.
- • Develop agents across the full sales action set, requiring deep understanding of how sales reps actually perform their daily workflows and translating those nuances into automated systems.
- • Ship prompt and tool changes in response to specific user complaints or behavioral feedback within the same week, maintaining a rapid iteration cycle grounded in real-world usage.
- • Balance platform-level AI capabilities with customer-facing customization, determining which insights should be hardcoded into the system versus exposed as adjustable user modifiers.
- • Operate with GM-level ownership over a 0-to-1 product line, making independent decisions with high autonomy and accountability for product success and customer outcomes.
- • Collaborate with a team of 40 engineers, most of whom are former founders or founding engineers from high-performing companies like Applied Intuition, Scale, Airtable, Citadel, and Jane Street.
- • Maintain a strong foundation in the tech stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python, using these tools to rapidly prototype, test, and deploy agent components.
- • Contribute to building a scalable science of sales by turning manual, artisanal sales practices into automated, reproducible AI workflows.
- • Be based in San Francisco and work in-office at least three days per week to facilitate close collaboration with product, engineering, and customer teams.
- • Iterate continuously based on live customer data, ensuring every agent improvement is validated against actual sales outcomes rather than hypothetical assumptions.
- • Participate in shaping the future of sales automation by defining the standards for AI agent reliability, safety, and user trust in revenue-critical workflows.
- • Translate real-time customer pain points into engineering priorities, closing the loop between user feedback and product delivery without layers of bureaucracy.
- • Contribute to a high-caliber team culture rooted in intellectual rigor, technical excellence, and founder-like ownership across all levels of the organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of engineering experience, ideally including time as a technical founder, founding engineer, or forward-deployed engineer at a high-bar organization
- • Production experience with AI agents, including shipping prompt or tool changes in response to user feedback within the same week
- • Strong foundation in React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python
- • Based in San Francisco with willingness to work in-office 3+ days per week
- • High agency and comfort owning outcomes without a clear playbook
- • Strong opinions, held loosely, on platform-level AI design vs. customer-facing modifiers
