• Join P-1 AI, a groundbreaking startup on a mission to build engineering Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and revolutionize the built world. Our flagship product, Archie, is an AI engineer designed to possess quantitative intuition over physical product domains and master engineering tool usage. Archie starts at the proficiency level of an entry-level design engineer but is engineered for rapid, continuous learning and improvement, with the ultimate goal of empowering every engineering team across every industrial company globally.
• As a Senior Software Engineer on our Agentic AI Platform team, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing the core intelligent systems that power Archie. This platform acts as a sophisticated, tireless teammate, capable of replicating the full spectrum of actions performed by human engineers. This includes developing a deep understanding of a company's products and the underlying physics governing their design, seamlessly accessing and utilizing information systems, effectively decomposing complex performance requirements, and translating them into tangible design solutions.
• Your work will directly contribute to making Archie scalable, responsive, and highly competent. A critical aspect of this role involves ensuring Archie can be securely deployed within our customers' corporate networks, enabling it to access sensitive information and perform its duties with maximum efficacy. This requires a blend of classic distributed systems expertise, robust integration capabilities, and stringent security implementation.
• The challenges you will tackle are diverse and complex, ranging from foundational distributed systems engineering and seamless integration of various components to the robust implementation of advanced intelligence features developed by our dedicated AI research team. You will have the opportunity to take full ownership of your work by default, and as Archie evolves in sophistication, there will be potential for growth into technical leadership roles within specialized areas.
• This role offers significant impact, placing you at the nexus of cutting-edge AI and real-world engineering applications. Every feature and capability that users interact with through Archie, regardless of industry or context, will be a direct result of your contributions. You will be a key player in shaping the future of engineering intelligence.
• Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating closely with our team to understand the Archie capability roadmap and meticulously decomposing these high-level capabilities into actionable technical development plans. You will be tasked with transforming prototype concepts and Proofs of Concepts (PoCs) developed by our AI research team into production-ready, scalable, and reliable implementations.
• You will play a vital role in diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems identified by the team or reported by users, ensuring the smooth and continuous operation of the platform. Furthermore, you will develop and implement comprehensive automated platform tests, encompassing traditional software testing methodologies, specialized agentic AI evaluations, and robust infrastructure testing.
• A significant part of your role will involve enhancing Archie's scalability and overall robustness through thoughtful system architecture design and meticulous implementation. This requires a proactive approach to identifying potential bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization within the platform's architecture.
• We are seeking individuals who have a proven track record of taking technical ownership of production-grade software systems. Experience with application development in Python is essential, as is a demonstrated ability to build and implement effective data models and manage database interactions. 🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record of taking technical ownership of production-grade software systems.
• Significant experience with application development in Python.
• Experience building and implementing data models and database interactions.
• A strong user-centric mindset, with a demonstrated ability to understand user goals and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), or containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
