📋 Description

• As a Senior Software Engineer on the Agents team at RevenueCat, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI-powered developer tools by building the foundational infrastructure that enables intelligent agents to understand, analyze, and act on subscription revenue data. This role is critical to RevenueCat’s mission of becoming an AI-native company, where agents automate and augment how developers interact with their monetization stack—directly impacting hundreds of thousands of developers and the end-users they serve.
• You will design, implement, and maintain core systems including agent orchestration, tool execution pipelines, context management, evaluation frameworks, and trust/permission layers that ensure safe, reliable, and scalable agent behavior. Your work will involve integrating with RevenueCat’s existing APIs, processing real-time purchase and subscription data, and enabling natural language interactions across Slack, the dashboard, and future interfaces. You’ll write production-grade backend services, define clear interfaces between components, and establish observability and evaluation practices that allow the team to measure agent performance and reliability.
• You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data teams in a fully remote, async-first environment, contributing to architectural decisions, participating in code reviews, and helping shape the technical direction of the agent platform. Your ability to navigate ambiguity, take ownership of loosely defined problems, and ship incremental value will be essential as the team evolves from experimental prototypes to a robust, production-ready system.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in LLM-powered systems, gaining hands-on experience with agent architectures, tool use, evaluation frameworks, and production AI safety practices. You’ll have the opportunity to influence the design of a system that could become the standard for developer-facing AI agents, while building credibility as a technical leader through mentorship, architectural contributions, and ownership of critical infrastructure. By the end of your first year, you will have helped establish the technical foundation that enables RevenueCat’s agent ecosystem to scale reliably and intelligently.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience shipping production backend systems
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based systems beyond prompting—including tool use, structured output, context management, orchestration, and evaluation
• Strong backend fundamentals with experience building reliable, observable, and secure systems
