- • As a Senior Software Engineer on Hopper's Fintech Foundation team, you will design, build, and evolve machine learning systems that power the company's pricing engine, directly impacting revenue, financial risk management, and customer experience for over 100 million monthly active users.
- • Your day-to-day will involve designing automated training pipelines, building ETL pipelines with feature engineering, developing and deploying real-time ML pricing solutions, monitoring production systems for latency and drift, running champion-challenger tests, and collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- • You will join a high-impact team at the core of Hopper's mission, working on systems that balance customer demand against financial risk across major partners like Capital One, Air Canada, and Spirit Airlines, and contribute to Hopper's position as a leading travel fintech provider.
- • This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in production ML systems at scale, influence commercial outcomes through technology, and grow within a company that has raised over $750 million and powers B2B fintech solutions for global travel brands.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within production ML systems or large-scale pricing platforms
- • Proficiency in Python, Scala, and SQL, applied to production ML systems rather than exploratory work
- • Experience in data modelling, software architecture, and distributed data processing frameworks at scale
- • Deep understanding of ML algorithms and their application in pricing, demand forecasting, or similar commercial domains
- • Strong analytical instincts and attention to detail, with a track record of catching issues before they reach production
- • A product mindset that keeps customer outcomes in view, even during deeply technical work
