- • As a Senior Software Engineer at Copeland LP, you will be at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the development of cutting-edge cloud-native platforms that power connected climate technologies at a global scale. This is a unique opportunity to engage in greenfield development, working with modern technologies and a collaborative team to build reliable software solutions that have a tangible impact on real-world environments and sustainability efforts.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to design and build robust, cloud-native systems engineered for high availability and continuous operation. This involves architecting solutions that can scale efficiently to meet the demands of a growing IoT ecosystem.
- • You will play a key role in implementing and managing scalable infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, ensuring that our deployments are consistent, repeatable, and maintainable.
- • A significant part of your work will involve developing serverless applications on Microsoft Azure. This focus on serverless architecture will enable you to optimize for performance, enhance scalability, and ensure cost-efficiency in our cloud operations.
- • You will be instrumental in building modern, responsive applications utilizing TypeScript. This includes developing both the frontend components with React and the backend services with NestJS, creating a cohesive and powerful user experience.
- • A crucial aspect of this role is developing sophisticated APIs and communication protocols. These integrations will connect our cloud platforms with web applications, mobile apps, third-party partners, and a diverse range of IoT devices, forming the backbone of our connected ecosystem.
- • Maintaining the highest standards of software quality and reliability is paramount. You will achieve this by writing comprehensive automated unit and behavioral tests throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring the robustness of our applications.
- • You will be part of a fast-paced development cycle, deploying production code frequently. This requires adherence to secure release processes and the implementation of effective rollback strategies to mitigate any potential issues.
- • Collaboration is central to our agile development methodology. You will actively participate in paired programming sessions and contribute to all aspects of agile ceremonies, fostering a culture of shared learning and collective problem-solving.
- • You will translate complex business requirements into well-defined technical designs, ensuring that the software we build directly addresses user needs and strategic objectives.
- • Your contributions will extend to supporting production environments, including participating in on-call rotations to ensure the continuous operation of our critical systems.
- • You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers, providing technical expertise and contributing to the overall product strategy.
- • This role offers the chance to work on projects that directly contribute to Copeland's mission of driving sustainability through advanced climate technologies, impacting energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions globally.
- • You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your expertise, contributing to the growth and development of the engineering team.
- • The role emphasizes continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies and best practices within the cloud-native and IoT domains.
- • You will be an integral part of a remote-first team, contributing to a culture of trust, autonomy, and effective communication across distributed locations.
