• As a Senior Software Engineer on the Core Infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Compa's technology. You will be entrusted with the ownership and leadership of critical infrastructure and DevOps projects that span across Compa's diverse product suite, internal systems, advanced AI/ML initiatives, and our robust data warehouse. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our core technological foundation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve the comprehensive design, meticulous construction, and diligent maintenance of our cloud infrastructure, alongside the development and enhancement of essential DevOps tools and services. You will be instrumental in scaling our systems to meet growing demands, implementing sophisticated automation strategies to streamline operations, and ensuring the utmost reliability and observability of our infrastructure services. A key aspect of your role will be to design and continuously improve our CI/CD pipelines, refine deployment workflows, and advance our infrastructure automation capabilities. You will take full ownership of reliability end-to-end, which includes setting up comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems, actively participating in incident response, and driving a culture of continuous improvement to prevent future issues. Furthermore, you will be a key driver of major company-wide initiatives, such as enabling multi-cloud support to enhance flexibility and resilience, and implementing customer-managed encryption keys to bolster data security and compliance. You will be empowered to move fast and ship code frequently, contributing directly to shaping critical technical decisions as the company experiences rapid growth and scales its operations. Your involvement will extend to participating actively in roadmap planning and prioritization discussions, ensuring that our infrastructure strategy aligns with our overarching business objectives.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role focused on infrastructure, platforms, or backend systems.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating systems on at least one major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong engineering background in DevOps/SRE principles with hands-on experience in Python.
• Deep understanding of networking, operating systems, cryptographic protocols, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and solid hands-on experience with Python.
• Gumption: demonstrated experience working effectively in early-stage startup environments.
