📋 Description

• Senior Software Engineer, Data role at PlayOn! Sports, responsible for designing, building, and operating data services and APIs that power real-time data ecosystems across high school sports platforms including NFHS Network, GoFan, and MaxPreps.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include owning service design, defining event contracts, ensuring schema alignment, and improving quality and reliability of data products used by application teams across the company.
• Works within a mission-driven team focused on delivering reliable data infrastructure that supports streaming video, ticketing, scoring, and fan engagement for high school sports nationwide.
• Opportunity to deepen expertise in production data systems, influence technical standards for data quality and observability, and take ownership of critical pipelines that impact business operations and user experiences.

• Proven experience as a senior individual contributor in production data systems
• Strong background in designing, building, and operating data services and APIs
• Expertise in defining event contracts and ensuring schema alignment across data platforms
• Commitment to data correctness, clarity, and ownership of critical pipelines
• Experience establishing observability, SLAs, and production-grade reliability for data services
