• • As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will spearhead initiatives that directly impact the productivity and efficiency of every engineer at Patreon. Your responsibilities will encompass the ownership and enhancement of our continuous integration, continuous deployment, and developer environment systems.
• • You will engage directly with engineers from various departments to deeply understand their challenges and translate these insights into tangible improvements in developer ergonomics and workflow. This involves staying abreast of the rapidly evolving landscape of AI tools and integrating them strategically to enhance the developer experience.
• • Key areas of focus will include refining and optimizing the developer environment and tools, such as Docker and our comprehensive testing infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in integrating AI agents, models, and specialized skills to automate and augment development tasks.
• • You will be responsible for operating and scaling our continuous integration pipelines, with a focus on systems like CircleCI, ensuring reliability and speed.
• • Furthermore, you will be involved in managing our continuous deployment strategies using Kubernetes and Argo CD/Argo Rollouts, enabling faster and safer releases.
• • A significant part of your work will involve building and operating developer-facing services that support testing, deployment, and other critical development workflows.
• • You will contribute to the development and implementation of automated test selection mechanisms, optimizing test execution for speed and relevance.
