- • Senior Software Engineer, DevOps role focused on ensuring fast, secure, and reliable releases for the Global Monitoring Service (GMS) App Team at Planet Labs PBC, a company that designs, builds, and operates the world’s largest constellation of imaging satellites to deliver data for commercial, environmental, and humanitarian use.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning the container-based application lifecycle and bi-weekly releases, managing CI/CD pipelines, deploying and maintaining applications on customer-isolated Kubernetes clusters with stateful workloads and persistent storage, ensuring high availability and performance to meet SLAs through proactive monitoring and 24x7 on-call participation, rapidly debugging complex issues, managing Terraform deployments for data pipelines, and owning authentication for GMS resources while providing full-stack technical expertise to customer-facing teams.
