📋 Description

• As a Senior Software Engineer on the DevX CI pod at Coinbase, you will be at the forefront of building and enhancing the core infrastructure that empowers thousands of engineers to develop high-quality products efficiently and effectively.
• Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and operating state-of-the-art version control and continuous integration (CI) systems, which are critical to our rapid development cycles and commitment to quality.
• You will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing one of Coinbase's largest Kubernetes (k8s) clusters, leveraging custom-built controllers to ensure efficient workload management and scalability.
• A significant aspect of your work will involve contributing to a strategic initiative to migrate our source code management to the cloud, a complex and impactful project that will redefine our development landscape.
• You will be responsible for building, refining, and maintaining backend developer productivity infrastructure services and systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and performant.
• This role demands the design of scalable, fault-tolerant solutions to novel and challenging problems, utilizing modern cloud technologies and adhering to industry best practices.
• You will collaborate closely with fellow engineers and leadership to translate the company's product and technical vision into a concrete, actionable roadmap on a quarterly basis, ensuring alignment and driving progress.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proven experience designing, building, scaling, and operating large-scale, high-throughput infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency in writing high-quality, well-tested code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Golang or Ruby is a plus.
• Prior experience building on and operating GitHub/GitHub Actions is a significant advantage.
