We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a proven track record of building adaptable and scalable platforms to drive this next phase of expansion.
- • As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in enhancing the Education.com platform. Your responsibilities will span the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design through to deployment and ongoing monitoring. You will collaborate closely with a dynamic, cross-functional team comprising talented engineers, insightful product managers, and creative designers to conceptualize, build, and launch innovative new features and critical improvements across the entire Education.com platform.
- • You will be responsible for the design, development, and meticulous maintenance of robust back-end services, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and scalable. Simultaneously, you will contribute to the creation of rich, engaging user interfaces that enhance the learning experience for our users. A key aspect of this role involves optimizing application performance, ensuring the platform can seamlessly adapt and scale to meet the demands of rapid growth, and maintaining its reliability in our state-of-the-art cloud environment.
- • Beyond individual contribution, you will provide invaluable technical guidance to your peers. This includes conducting thorough design and code reviews, fostering a culture of quality and best practices. Furthermore, you will actively mentor junior and mid-level engineers, sharing your expertise and helping them grow their skills, thereby strengthening the overall engineering team.
- • You will be empowered to evaluate and implement new technologies and cutting-edge best practices. This proactive approach will ensure that the Education.com platform remains at the forefront of educational technology, maintaining its efficiency and competitive edge in the market.
- • This full-time position is based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA. We offer a hybrid work schedule, allowing for Monday-Friday in-office collaboration with the flexibility of working from home one day per week, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
