- • Join Babylist, the premier registry, e-commerce, and content platform for growing families, as a Senior Software Engineer on our Fulfillment and Operations Engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of scaling our technical systems, directly contributing to the growth of Babylist's e-commerce business towards $700M+ in revenue and driving significant efficiencies within our sophisticated supply chain network.
- • As a key member of our distributed engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing new product initiatives. You will collaborate closely with our Product and Supply Chain teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions, delivering complex new functionality that enhances our operational capabilities.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to leading business-critical projects, where your technical expertise and strategic thinking will be instrumental in unlocking new capabilities and driving innovation within our fulfillment and operations infrastructure.
- • You will be instrumental in developing and scaling the core systems that underpin Babylist’s supply chain, ensuring its ability to handle future growth and increased transaction volumes, aiming for $700M in revenue and beyond.
- • Become a recognized subject matter expert within our supply chain services. You will have the opportunity to influence and define the future architecture and feature roadmap for these critical services, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and efficient.
- • Work hand-in-hand with our Product team to conceptualize and build new features across our supply chain ecosystem. This includes, but is not limited to, enhancements to order routing logic, optimizing inventory distribution strategies, improving inbound logistics processes, refining outbound delivery mechanisms, and streamlining our returns management system.
- • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team. You will actively share your expertise, best practices, and design patterns in your areas of specialization with other team members, contributing to a collective elevation of technical skill and understanding.
- • Take on a leadership role in mentoring and guiding other engineers. This will involve active participation in design and architecture planning sessions, providing constructive feedback during code reviews, and leading knowledge-sharing sessions to help grow and level up the skills of your colleagues.
- • You will be a driving force for technical excellence, passionate about not only advancing your own skills but also significantly enhancing the capabilities and impact of the engineers around you.

🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering technical solutions that drive business growth.
- • Strong programming skills in modern web stacks, with a preference for Ruby on Rails, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and excel with new technologies like Python/Django or Node/Express.
- • Experience with testing, monitoring, and operating production software systems, with a focus on reliability and performance.
- • A passion for identifying and driving improvements in team culture, processes, and execution.
- • Excellent communication skills, a growth mindset, and a strong desire to learn and adapt.
- • Past experience in e-commerce fulfillment or supply chain operations (nice-to-have).
