• • As our organisation continues to grow, we are seeking a T-shaped Senior or Lead Software Engineer to enhance our Software Engineering Practice. Your core strength lies in your deep Java expertise, but your intellectual curiosity extends far beyond. You possess a comprehensive understanding of the broader software delivery landscape, including APIs, CI/CD pipelines, messaging systems, cloud infrastructure, and the critical human element involved in problem-solving. You are adept at understanding and addressing the needs of both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This includes designing and implementing robust backend services using Java (v11+), leveraging frameworks like Spring Boot, and architecting and managing microservices from conception to deployment. Furthermore, you will engage with messaging architectures, particularly Apache Kafka, to ensure seamless data flow and asynchronous communication between services. Your role will also involve working with relational databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval.

You will also be deeply involved in DevOps practices, including containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes, and managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment process. While your primary focus will be on the backend, you will also collaborate closely with frontend development, utilising your fluency in React or React Native to contribute to the overall user experience and ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components.
