• • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer with a Fullstack (.NET) specialization to become an integral part of our growing Engineering Practice. This role is based in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch, New Zealand.
• • As a Senior Software Engineer at ClearPoint, you will be instrumental in developing business-critical systems that serve a significant portion of New Zealand's population daily. You will contribute to projects that demand a high standard of quality and have a tangible impact.
• • This is a T-shaped role, requiring deep expertise in .NET at its core, coupled with a broad understanding of the entire software delivery lifecycle. You will leverage your comprehensive knowledge of APIs, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, data management, and collaborative problem-solving within a team environment.
• • Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and high-quality software solutions using C# and the .NET ecosystem (Core / 6+).
• • You will be responsible for building and maintaining powerful APIs and web applications using ASP.NET Core, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and easy to consume.
• • A key aspect of the role involves working with microservices architecture, where you will design, implement, and own services from conception through to production.
• • You will excel in designing and implementing RESTful APIs that are not only functional but also provide an excellent developer experience for consumers.
• • You will possess a strong working knowledge of relational databases, including SQL Server and PostgreSQL, going beyond mere abstraction layers like Entity Framework.
• • Experience with messaging architectures, such as AWS or Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies, will be crucial for building asynchronous and resilient systems.
• • A commitment to automated testing is paramount; you will integrate testing methodologies into your daily development practices to ensure code quality and reliability.
• • You will actively participate in DevOps practices, contributing to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps.
• • Beyond your core .NET expertise, you will demonstrate a breadth of knowledge, including experience with Azure cloud services. Ideally, you will be Azure-certified or actively pursuing certification.
• • Frontend development skills using TypeScript, React, or Angular are highly valued, enabling you to context-switch and contribute across the full stack when necessary.
• • Experience with large-scale systems or high-throughput applications is desirable, showcasing your ability to handle complex and demanding environments.
• • You will contribute to observability, monitoring, and systems thinking, looking beyond your immediate service to understand the broader system's health and performance.
