- • Dandy Technology is at the forefront of revolutionizing the vast and historically antiquated dental industry, a market valued at over $200 billion. With the backing of leading venture capital firms, we are driven by an ambitious mission to streamline and modernize every facet of dental practice operations through cutting-edge technology. As we embark on a global expansion, Dandy is committed to building the definitive operating system for dental offices worldwide. Our goal is to empower clinicians and their teams with innovative technology and unparalleled support, enabling them to achieve greater success for their practices, their staff, and ultimately, their patients.
- • In the past three years, Dandy has successfully established itself as the leading digital-first custom dental appliance manufacturer. Now, as we ascend to the next level of scale and operational maturity, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to architect and build the foundational elements of our Machine Learning (ML) Platform. This pivotal role will serve as the crucial bridge connecting state-of-the-art Computer Vision research with the demands of production-grade reliability and scalability. You will be instrumental in designing and scaling the robust infrastructure required to handle immense 3D datasets, orchestrate complex model training pipelines, and ensure the high-reliability deployment of our generative models.
- • Your primary responsibilities will involve close collaboration with Machine Learning Engineers to develop and enhance the ML training pipelines. This includes processing massive 3D datasets, efficiently orchestrating model training processes, and facilitating continuous model improvements through iterative development and feedback loops. You will play a key role in streamlining the entire ML lifecycle, encompassing data labeling, rigorous experimentation, and seamless deployment. This will be achieved by optimizing internal ML components, proactively identifying and addressing technical debt, and implementing best practices to ensure efficiency and maintainability.
- • A significant aspect of this role will be the development and maintenance of cloud-native systems and tooling, primarily leveraging GCP and Kubernetes. These systems must support Dandy’s innovative 3D dental products in a manner that is secure, thoroughly tested, and delivers high performance. You will be expected to write clean, maintainable code and comprehensive tests, establishing and upholding the highest standards for our internal engineering practices. Furthermore, you will partner closely with stakeholders across the entire Engineering organization, contributing to the strategic direction of long-term architectural goals and consistently maintaining a high-quality bar for all technical deliverables.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of ML infrastructure in a rapidly growing, impactful industry. You will be empowered to make significant technical decisions, drive innovation, and contribute directly to the success of Dandy's core product offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of software engineering expertise and a deep understanding of ML systems, enabling them to translate complex research concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions. You will be a key player in ensuring our ML capabilities are robust, efficient, and capable of supporting our ambitious growth trajectory and commitment to transforming dental care.
