Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the test strategy for mission-critical Identity & Access Management (IAM) services written in Go, ensuring every authentication, authorization, and provisioning flow is bullet-proof before it reaches millions of users.
- • Design and implement comprehensive unit and integration test suites from scratch, raising code-coverage to industry-leading levels while keeping build times under two minutes.
- • Conduct rigorous code reviews for IAM, platform, and security teams—catching logic flaws, race conditions, and compliance gaps before they ever hit production.
- • Build reproducible, containerized testing environments with Docker and Tart VMs that mirror production exactly, eliminating the “works on my machine” problem forever.
- • Automate everything that can be automated: spin-up/teardown scripts, synthetic user journeys, load generators, and security scanners—all written in Go and Bash and wired into CI/CD.
- • Translate complex IAM requirements (OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, Zero Trust) into concrete test cases that prove the system is both secure and user-friendly.
- • Partner with product managers, security architects, and customer administrators to understand real-world usage patterns and bake those scenarios into regression suites.
- • Champion engineering standards across the team—define lint rules, commit hooks, and test-data seeding practices that keep velocity high and defects low.
- • Mentor junior engineers on test design, performance profiling, and secure-coding patterns, turning good developers into great ones.
- • Drive root-cause analysis for production incidents, then add automated tests so the same issue never reappears.
- • Present quality dashboards and risk assessments to customer leadership, translating technical metrics into business impact.
- • Stay ahead of the curve—evaluate new tools (e.g., property-based testing, chaos engineering) and fold the best ones into the toolchain.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with expert-level Go (Golang) proficiency
- • Proven history building robust, scalable testing frameworks and writing comprehensive unit & integration tests
- • Demonstrable experience working on applications within the Identity or Security domains
- • High proficiency in Bash scripting and comfort on the Linux/macOS command line
- • Strong hands-on experience with Docker for containerized development and testing
- • Preferred: experience with Okta/Authentik, Kubernetes, AWS IAM, Python/Ruby, Zero Trust Architecture, Kafka/RabbitMQ/SQS/SNS, Chromebook administration, or protocols like OAuth/OIDC/SAML/SCIM
🏖️ Benefits
- • 100% remote workplace since day one—work from anywhere with a good internet connection
- • Unlimited paid time off—take the rest you need to stay creative and productive
- • Equity ownership for employees who demonstrate true ownership of their work
- • 401(k) with company contribution to help you build long-term wealth
- • Company-sponsored healthcare covering medical, dental, and vision
- • Competitive compensation benchmarked against top-tier technology companies
- • Professional growth budget for training, certifications, and conferences
