Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Join Cast AI, a rapidly growing unicorn company at the forefront of cloud-native and AI infrastructure automation. We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our critical Identity Team, responsible for building the foundational trust and access mechanisms that power our entire platform. At Cast AI, we empower companies like Akamai, BMW, and HuggingFace to optimize their cloud environments through intelligent automation. Our mission is to replace manual decision-making with continuous, adaptive automation, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and cost savings at scale.
- • As a Senior Software Engineer on the Identity Team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the core systems that govern how users, services, and workloads interact with the Cast AI platform. This is a high-impact role where your contributions will directly influence the security, scalability, and seamless operation of our cutting-edge technology. You will be instrumental in ensuring that every interaction is safe, secure, and efficient, enabling our platform to grow confidently while rigorously protecting customer data and operations.
- • Our Identity Team is the bedrock of trust for Cast AI. We are dedicated to delivering secure, scalable, and frictionless identity and access management solutions. This involves building robust systems for authentication (AuthN) and authorization (AuthZ), enabling seamless single sign-on (SSO) experiences for our users, and managing the secure operation of our Kubernetes Operator. Your work will directly contribute to the platform's integrity and the confidence our customers place in us.
- • In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated identity and access management features. This includes enhancing our authentication mechanisms to support standards-based SSO and federated identity, ensuring a smooth and secure login process for all users. You will also be deeply involved in building and refining our internal Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system, providing precise, auditable control over every action within the platform.
- • Furthermore, you will contribute to empowering our customers through Self-Service SSO capabilities, allowing them to easily configure and manage their own identity integrations with minimal friction. A significant part of your work will involve the Cast AI Kubernetes Operator Management, where you will own and operate the core Cast AI Kubernetes Operator, ensuring its reliable and secure execution across diverse customer environments. This requires a deep understanding of distributed systems and Kubernetes.
- • We foster a culture of engineering excellence, where automation is our superpower. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. Feature projects are typically completed within 1 to 4 weeks, allowing for rapid iteration and impact. You will collaborate with a global team of passionate cloud experts and innovators who are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of Kubernetes technology.
- • This is an opportunity to work on challenging problems at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, AI, and security. You will have the autonomy to make significant technical decisions and contribute to the strategic direction of the Identity Team. We value proactive problem-solving, a "yes, we can" attitude, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the future of autonomous infrastructure management.
- • You will be an integral part of a global, diverse team, contributing to a company that has achieved unicorn status and is experiencing significant momentum. We believe in empowering our engineers with the resources and freedom they need to excel, including dedicated time for personal projects and a generous learning budget. Join us in building the future of cloud infrastructure, where identity and access are seamlessly and securely managed at scale.
- • Key responsibilities will include architecting and implementing new identity features, optimizing existing systems for performance and scalability, ensuring robust security practices are followed, and collaborating closely with other engineering teams to integrate identity services across the platform. You will also be involved in troubleshooting complex issues, participating in code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. Your ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team will be essential for success in this dynamic role.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong software engineering skills with experience in distributed systems and backend development, particularly in GoLang.
- • Proven experience in debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning of complex systems.
- • Experience integrating platforms with external Identity Provider (IDP) systems such as Auth0 and Okta, or similar (nice-to-have).
- • Experience developing Kubernetes (k8s) operators (nice-to-have).
- • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- • Must be physically located in a European country (Bulgaria, EU, Lithuania, Poland, Romania) within GMT +0 to GMT +3 time zones.
- • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team.
- • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a "yes, we can" attitude.
🏖️ Benefits
