• • As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of critical Golang infrastructure services. These services are typically architected as Kubernetes operators, designed to deliver the core Confluent cloud foundations to our broader engineering organization.
• • Your responsibilities will encompass leveraging essential tools and technologies such as Terraform, Datadog, and Prometheus, coupled with a profound understanding of Linux, public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and networking principles. While Golang software engineering will be your primary focus, a broad technical acumen is highly valued.
• • In this role, you will collaborate closely with fellow Confluent engineers, contributing directly to the development and enhancement of our flagship PaaS product. This collaborative effort is central to our success.
• • You, along with the entire team, will bear the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the high availability, optimal performance, comprehensive monitoring, swift emergency response, and meticulous capacity planning of the Confluent cloud infrastructure. This ownership is a key aspect of the role.
