📋 Description

• Design and implement modernized frontend solutions to optimize data access across complex UI components, leveraging high-performance paginated query APIs to enhance platform responsiveness and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with Platform, Architecture, and Product teams to align on technical migration roadmaps, ensuring seamless integration of frontend changes with backend systems and enterprise-wide technical strategy.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on frontend API access patterns, conducting deep-dive code reviews and providing actionable feedback to improve API endpoint design and frontend integration practices.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers by documenting best practices, establishing agentic coding standards, and guiding team members through frontend modernization initiatives while maintaining code quality and system stability.
• Proactively identify and assess technical debt and migration risks, delivering accurate estimations and clear, timely communication to stakeholders across engineering and product disciplines throughout project lifecycles.
• Drive large-scale refactors and system migrations by applying deep understanding of coordination, patience, and attention to detail required to evolve legacy frontend systems without compromising performance or user experience.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure frontend architecture aligns with security, compliance, and performance requirements of enterprise customers, including Fortune 500 organizations using Optro’s audit, risk, ESG, and InfoSec platform.
• Contribute to the evolution of Optro’s web frameworks by evaluating emerging API standards (e.g., JSON:API), pagination strategies, and complex query builders to improve data flow efficiency and system reliability.
• Maintain awareness of broader engineering initiatives across the organization, understanding how frontend changes impact other teams and factoring that context into technical decisions and prioritization.
• Cultivate a culture of curiosity by investigating root causes of system behaviors, asking probing questions, and avoiding surface-level solutions to ensure robust, maintainable frontend architecture.
• Communicate technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders, driving consensus across teams with diverse priorities and ensuring alignment on technical direction and implementation timelines.
• Own the reliability and scalability of core frontend interfaces used by 7 of the Fortune 10 companies and over 50% of the Fortune 500, directly influencing the functionality, security, and usability of Optro’s award-winning platform.
• Participate in technical leadership activities including architecture reviews, standards definition, and knowledge sharing sessions to elevate the collective capability of the Web Frameworks team and broader engineering organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise in modern frontend frameworks (Ember.js is a significant plus; strong experience in React or Vue is also accepted)
• Proven experience with complex frontend refactors or large-scale system migrations
• Strong understanding of modern API standards (e.g., JSON:API), pagination strategies, and complex query builders
• Exceptional ability to communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and drive cross-team consensus
• Demonstrated curiosity and initiative to understand system internals beyond surface-level usage
• Experience mentoring engineers and documenting best practices to scale team impact
