- • Senior Software Engineer II, Platform UI role at Optro Inc., a leading audit, risk, ESG, and InfoSec platform serving over 50% of the Fortune 500, including 7 of the Fortune 10, with a mission to build the most loved platform through innovation and customer obsession.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include building and shipping product features end-to-end, writing clear design documentation, mentoring fellow engineers, leading application architecture decisions, troubleshooting and resolving software bugs, implementing back-end APIs in Node.js, working on the Ember SPA front-end, collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers, participating in Agile development, writing maintainable and testable code, and maintaining a product-minded focus on customer value.
- • The Platform UI team is part of a high-performing, fast-growing engineering organization at Optro, which has been ranked among the 500 fastest-growing tech companies in North America for seven consecutive years by Deloitte, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- • In this role, you will gain leadership experience by mentoring engineers and driving architectural decisions, deepen expertise in full-stack development with modern technologies like Node.js, Ember, JavaScript, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes, and contribute to scalable systems that impact enterprise customers globally while growing alongside a mission-driven team.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience developing web-based applications
- • Experience with a modern front-end framework (Ember, Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
- • Experience creating platform-level components (forms, tables, design systems, etc.)
- • Experience writing REST/JSON APIs
- • Experience writing software tests
- • Ability to solve technical problems independently
