📋 Description

• As a Senior Software Engineer on the iOS Growth Squad at Tools for Humanity Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in scaling World App’s user base by owning and driving key growth initiatives focused on user incentives, onboarding, and engagement modalities. Your work will directly impact the company’s mission to build a trusted, privacy-preserving human network in the age of AI, helping millions of users worldwide verify their humanity and access new economic opportunities.
• You will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of iOS growth surfaces within the World App, including designing, building, shipping, and iterating on features that power user acquisition, retention, and engagement — from the first-time user experience to referral systems and reward mechanisms. This role demands a blend of technical excellence, product intuition, and data-driven experimentation to move critical north star metrics.
• The Growth Squad operates at the intersection of product, engineering, economics, and data, serving as a high-impact, cross-functional team dedicated to accelerating World’s global scale. Based in Munich, you’ll collaborate closely with peers in San Francisco and contribute to a mission-driven culture backed by world-class investors and talent from OpenAI, Tesla, SpaceX, Apple, Google, and more.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in growth engineering, experimentation frameworks, and iOS architecture while gaining exposure to cutting-edge applications of cryptography, digital identity, and AI-integrated consumer products. You’ll have the opportunity to shape systems that support millions of weekly verifications and influence how real human participation is incentivized and measured in decentralized ecosystems.
• Own all required iOS growth surfaces in the World App, with primary focus on user incentives (e.g., referral programs, reward distribution, invite systems) while contributing to onboarding flows, notification centre functionality, and growth modalities such as ‘Find an Orb’ and experimental user acquisition channels.
• Ship features and run experiments at high velocity using feature flags, modular architecture, and rapid iteration cycles; collaborate tightly with product, backend, design, and data teams to ensure alignment and measurable impact on user funnels.
• Instrument all growth-related user flows with analytics and A/B testing frameworks to track conversion, retention, and engagement metrics; ensure every feature is observable, testable, and optimizable based on real-world data.
• Partner with economics, data, and operations teams to interpret experiment results, model incentive structures, and understand the behavioral and economic drivers behind user growth and retention.
• Improve the iOS codebase to support experimentation velocity by enhancing modularity, testability, and feature flag integration; advocate for and implement best practices in CI/CD, code quality, and observability.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues in growth flows swiftly, treating system reliability and user experience as non-negotiable priorities; conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to maintain stability during high-traffic periods.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong iOS development expertise in Swift with a proven history of shipping user-facing features in production mobile applications.
• Growth engineering mindset: experience with metrics-driven development, funnel analysis, A/B testing, and rapid experimentation cycles.
• End-to-end feature delivery experience, from gathering requirements and design through implementation, release, and post-launch monitoring and iteration.
• Comfort collaborating across functional teams (product, design, data, economics) and communicating technical concepts clearly to non-engineering stakeholders.
• Familiarity with analytics instrumentation, event tracking, feature flag systems (e.g., LaunchDarkly, Firebase Remote Config), and/or A/B testing platforms on iOS.
• Bias for action and ownership: proactive, self-directed, and motivated to identify problems and drive solutions without waiting for direction.
