📋 Description

• As a Senior Software Engineer - Java Fullstack at Vendavo, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the Vendavo Enterprise Pricing Platform (EPP), a mission-critical solution used by global enterprises to optimize pricing strategies, improve margins, and drive revenue growth. Your contributions will directly impact the scalability, performance, and reliability of a core product that empowers data-driven pricing decisions across industries.
• You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack features across both frontend and backend systems, ensuring seamless integration, high availability, and adherence to engineering best practices while collaborating with product, UX, QA, and DevOps teams in an agile environment.

• You will work on modernizing the EPP platform by leveraging contemporary frontend frameworks (such as React or Angular) and robust Java-based backend services (including Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful APIs), gaining hands-on experience in building scalable, cloud-ready applications that handle complex business logic and large-scale data processing.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include translating product requirements into technical designs, writing clean, testable, and maintainable code, conducting code reviews, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable releases.
• You will actively participate in architectural discussions, advocate for engineering excellence, and help evolve system design to support future scalability needs, including cloud migration, observability, and resilience patterns.
• Collaboration is key: you’ll work closely with product managers to understand business needs, UX designers to ensure intuitive user experiences, and QA engineers to define test strategies and automate validation, ensuring quality is built in from the start.
• You will mentor junior engineers, share knowledge through tech talks and documentation, and contribute to improving engineering practices such as TDD, pair programming, and refactoring legacy components to reduce technical debt.
• The role involves working with databases (both relational and NoSQL), message queues, caching layers, and API gateways to ensure efficient data flow and low-latency responses across distributed systems.
• You will stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their applicability to Vendavo’s stack and proposing improvements that enhance developer productivity, system performance, and user satisfaction.
• Through this role, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack development, enterprise software architecture, and domain-specific pricing logic, positioning yourself as a technical leader capable of driving innovation in complex B2B SaaS environments.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in Java and full-stack development
• Proven experience building and maintaining scalable web applications using modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and backend technologies (e.g., Spring Boot, REST/JAX-RS, microservices)
• Solid understanding of database design, SQL and NoSQL data stores, and experience with ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), version control (Git), and automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end)
