• • This role is for a Senior Software Engineer who will contribute to a leading provider of digital cinema technology, a company that revolutionizes cinema operations, content distribution, and advertising management through sophisticated software solutions.
• • The client offers a suite of products including Theatre Management Systems, content delivery networks, and ad sales platforms, all designed to streamline workflows and elevate the digital cinema experience for exhibitors worldwide.
• • As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in the Engineering & Delivery process, focusing on implementing new features and enhancements for critical client systems.
• • You will leverage modern Java versions (17/21) and the Spring Boot framework (2.x/3.x), ensuring robust backend development.
• • Database interactions will be managed using JPA, with incremental updates and version control handled by FlyWay, ensuring data integrity and manageability.
• • A key aspect of this role involves implementing and maintaining frontend functionality using Vaadin. While prior Vaadin experience is preferred, strong Java engineers will be supported in quickly acquiring the necessary skills.
• • You will take ownership of migration and integration tasks, ensuring seamless transitions of services and data between different systems and environments.
• • A significant part of your responsibility will include resolving complex bugs and providing essential production support to maintain system stability and performance.
• • You will actively utilize and integrate various AWS services into the delivery pipeline, including Lambda for serverless computing, ECS for container orchestration, CloudWatch for monitoring, SQS/SNS for messaging, and S3 for object storage.
• • Adaptation and maintenance of Terraform modules will be crucial for deploying new features and services, utilizing existing templates to ensure consistency and efficiency in infrastructure management.
• • A strong emphasis will be placed on ensuring comprehensive test coverage, including robust unit and integration tests, employing frameworks like Testcontainers and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies to guarantee code quality and reliability.
• • In terms of Collaboration & Client Engagement, you will actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• • Daily status meetings will be a regular part of your routine, ensuring alignment with team objectives and project progress.
• • You will play a vital role in sharing your technical knowledge with peers, actively supporting the professional growth and ramp-up of mid-level engineers within the team.
• • Close collaboration with Product Owners, Architects, and QA teams will be essential for refining requirements, clarifying ambiguities, and ensuring the successful delivery of features that meet client needs.
