📋 Description
- • As a Senior Software Engineer at Exadel, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of digital cinema technology. You will join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge solutions for a leading provider of digital cinema technology, a company dedicated to optimizing cinema operations, content distribution, and advertising management worldwide.
- • Your primary focus will be on the engineering and delivery of robust software solutions. This involves implementing new features and enhancements using modern Java versions (17/21) and the Spring Boot framework (2.x/3.x). You will also be responsible for database interactions, leveraging JPA for object-relational mapping and FlyWay for managing incremental database updates, ensuring data integrity and efficient schema evolution.
- • A key aspect of this role includes developing and maintaining frontend functionality. While experience with Vaadin is preferred, we recognize that strong Java engineers can quickly adapt. You will be expected to contribute to the user interface, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience for cinema operators and administrators.
- • You will take ownership of critical migration and integration tasks, ensuring the smooth transition of services and data between different systems and environments. This requires a meticulous approach to planning and execution to minimize disruption and maintain operational continuity.
- • Troubleshooting and problem-solving are integral to this position. You will be tasked with resolving complex bugs that arise in the software and providing essential production support when necessary, ensuring the stability and reliability of the deployed applications.
- • The role involves leveraging a suite of AWS services to build and deploy scalable solutions. You will work with services such as Lambda for serverless computing, ECS for container orchestration, CloudWatch for monitoring and logging, SQS/SNS for messaging, and S3 for object storage, integrating these services effectively into the overall architecture.
- • You will also adapt and manage Terraform modules for new features or services. While existing templates will be available, you will be expected to modify and extend them as needed, ensuring that infrastructure is managed as code for consistency and repeatability.
- • A strong emphasis is placed on quality assurance. You will be responsible for ensuring robust unit and integration test coverage for all developed code. This includes applying best practices and utilizing tools like Testcontainers and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks to guarantee the reliability and correctness of the software.
- • Collaboration and client engagement are vital components of this role. You will actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and receiving it in turn, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Daily status meetings will keep the team aligned and informed of progress and any impediments.
- • You will play a role in knowledge sharing within the engineering team, supporting the ramp-up and development of mid-level engineers. Mentoring and guiding junior team members will be an important aspect of your contribution.
- • Close collaboration with Product Owners, Architects, and QA engineers is expected. You will work together to refine requirements, clarify ambiguities, and ensure that features are delivered according to specifications and business needs.
- • You will contribute to the long-term maintainability of the codebase by capturing lessons learned during development and supporting the creation and updating of technical documentation.
