📋 Description

• • Architect and own the end-to-end technical vision for ClubWPT Gold, the next-generation gaming platform from the World Poker Tour. You will design scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems that must handle millions of real-money transactions and concurrent users without compromising speed or integrity.
• • Build and maintain bullet-proof CI/CD pipelines that span local development, QA, staging, and production environments. Automate everything—from container builds to security scans—so that every commit reaches players faster and safer.
• • Integrate mission-critical third-party services such as payment gateways, KYC/AML vendors, and real-time fraud-detection engines. You will negotiate APIs, model data contracts, and ensure 99.99 % uptime while keeping PII and banking data locked down under PCI-DSS and GDPR standards.
• • Lead full-cycle delivery of high-impact features: write clean, idiomatic code in GoLang and TypeScript, craft React or Vue front-end components when needed, and shepherd releases through code reviews, load tests, and phased roll-outs.
• • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Redwood City headquarters and engineering squads in Asia. Daily Mandarin stand-ups, design reviews, and incident bridges will be your norm; your clarity and cultural fluency will keep distributed teams rowing in the same direction.
• • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pair programming, architecture clinics, and career road-mapping. Champion engineering best practices—testing, observability, chaos engineering—and watch your mentees level up into leaders.
• • Drive strategic architectural decisions that affect everything from database sharding strategies to real-time event streaming with Kafka. Present options, trade-offs, and ROI analyses to executives, then roll up your sleeves and implement the chosen path.
• • Contribute to product road-mapping sessions with product managers and UX designers. Translate business goals (“faster tournament registration”, “instant withdrawals”) into technical epics and user stories that the entire org can rally behind.
• • Own the security posture of the platform. Conduct threat modeling, lead red-team exercises, and ensure every line of code meets OWASP and SOC 2 requirements. When incidents occur, you are the calm voice in the war room orchestrating the fix.
• • Continuously optimize for scale and cost. Whether it’s tuning Kubernetes autoscaling policies, re-architecting hot paths for 10× traffic spikes during marquee poker events, or negotiating reserved-instance pricing with AWS, you treat the cloud bill as your own budget.
• • Foster a culture of experimentation. Spin up feature flags, A/B tests, and canary releases so that new poker variants or social features can be validated with real players within days, not months.
• • Champion observability: define SLIs/SLOs, build Grafana dashboards, and set up PagerDuty alerts that wake you up before players even notice latency spikes. Turn data into actionable insights that guide the next sprint.
• • Stay ahead of the curve. Evaluate emerging tech—WebAssembly for client-side performance, edge computing for global low-latency, or zero-trust networking—and bring pragmatic proposals to the table.
