As a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile & Growth, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our SaaS platform, with a significant emphasis on enhancing our mobile experiences and driving growth through data-informed product development.
• This role is designed for a seasoned engineer who thrives on working across the full technology stack, but possesses a particular passion and deep expertise in mobile product development. You will be a champion for the end-user experience, collaborating closely with Product Management and Growth teams to conceptualize, build, and launch features that significantly boost user adoption, engagement, and overall customer value.
• As a senior member of the engineering team, you will take ownership of key aspects of our mobile strategy and execution. This includes not only hands-on development but also contributing to the strategic direction of our platform. Your ability to translate complex customer needs and ambitious growth objectives into elegant, high-quality software solutions will be critical to our success.
• You will be at the forefront of mobile-first product development, taking responsibility for the design, architecture, and implementation of robust, performant, and user-friendly mobile applications. This involves deep engagement with React Native to ensure a seamless and consistent experience that mirrors our web offerings, while also optimizing for the unique demands of mobile environments.
• Your role extends to full-stack engineering, where you will contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable, highly available applications. This encompasses both front-end and back-end development, leveraging modern technologies to build resilient and efficient systems.
• A key facet of this position is close collaboration with our Growth team. You will actively participate in designing and implementing A/B tests and other growth experiments, meticulously optimizing user funnels, and driving improvements in user activation and engagement. Your ability to iterate rapidly based on data analysis and direct customer feedback will be paramount.
• You will play a vital role in API and data architecture, specifically designing and implementing efficient GraphQL APIs. These APIs will serve as the backbone for delivering data seamlessly to both our mobile and web applications, ensuring speed and reliability.
• In addition to front-end responsibilities, you will contribute to building and maintaining robust backend services using ASP.NET. The focus here will be on ensuring these services are performant, scalable, and easy to maintain, supporting the high demands of our growing user base.
• On the frontend, you will craft intuitive and responsive user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript patterns. A mobile-first perspective will guide your UI development, ensuring exceptional user experiences across all devices.
• You will work with a variety of data storage solutions, including relational databases like Microsoft SQL, as well as non-relational databases. Your expertise will be crucial in selecting and utilizing the appropriate data systems to support both product features and growth initiatives.
• Cross-functional collaboration is central to this role. You will work hand-in-hand with Product Managers, Designers, Growth specialists, and fellow engineers to meticulously define project scope, establish clear priorities, and deliver features that have a tangible impact on our customers and business.
• As a senior engineer, you are expected to lead by example. This includes conducting thoughtful code reviews, actively mentoring junior engineers, and championing best practices in areas such as automated testing, comprehensive documentation, and robust system design.
• You will also take the lead on integrating third-party services and APIs. This responsibility involves ensuring these integrations are secure, reliable, and performant, adding essential functionality to our platform.
• Continuous learning and improvement are core values at Rev. You will be encouraged to stay abreast of emerging technologies and frameworks, particularly those relevant to mobile development and growth experimentation, bringing fresh ideas and approaches to the team.
• For candidates based in Austin, TX, this is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week onsite at our office. For those outside of Austin, the position is fully remote, offering flexibility while maintaining our collaborative spirit.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated ownership of mobile or mobile-adjacent product experiences.
• Proven expertise in building applications with React, GraphQL, and ASP.NET, coupled with a strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and scalability principles.
• Experience in developing and supporting high-volume, low-latency applications in fast-moving, iterative environments.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the capacity to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Nice to have: Hands-on experience building production mobile applications with React Native.
• Nice to have: Experience supporting growth initiatives such as A/B testing, feature experimentation, or funnel optimization.
