We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in India, focusing on our core Endpoint Protection services.
• • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in building and enhancing the services that process critical traffic between SentinelOne's advanced agents (protecting Windows, Linux, and macOS endpoints) and our sophisticated cloud-based Management console.
• • You will dive deep into the development of the backend for this Management console, a large-scale distributed system that acts as a complex control application for IT security teams. This system is crucial for managing fleets of agents deployed across client environments, as showcased in numerous S1 vs. Ransomware demonstrations.
• • Your contributions will directly impact how our customers' environments are protected and how they interact with our cutting-edge agent technology. As a core member of the team, you will be involved in end-to-end feature development, playing a key role in designing and building the robust architecture required to support SentinelOne's hyper-growth and evolving cybersecurity landscape.
• • You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and ongoing support of robust backend systems that power SentinelOne’s flagship Endpoint Protection product line.
• • Take full ownership of the design process for new features, meticulously documenting technical specifications and architectural decisions to ensure clarity and maintainability.
• • Design and implement efficient, scalable database schemas that effectively support both new functionalities and existing data structures, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
• • Develop and maintain high-performance backend services primarily using Go and Python, crafting clean, well-structured, and maintainable code.
• • Create and manage robust RESTful APIs that enable seamless and secure communication between the backend services, the front-end console, and other critical internal and external systems.
• • Integrate our systems with a variety of essential cloud services (including AWS and GCP), diverse databases (such as Postgres and MongoDB), real-time messaging systems (like Kafka), and high-speed caching solutions (e.g., Redis) to enhance overall system functionality, resilience, and performance.
• • Actively participate in and provide essential support during the feature validation and testing cycles, ensuring a smooth and successful transition of new features into production environments.
• • Proactively identify and implement performance optimizations across the system, ensuring it can effectively manage demanding workloads and scale to meet the needs of our rapidly growing customer base.
• • Translate complex product requirements and business needs into well-defined, executable technical solutions, bridging the gap between product vision and technical implementation.
• • Foster strong collaborative relationships with product managers, validation engineers, and front-end development teams, working cohesively to deliver and maintain high-quality, integrated features.
• • Engage with customer care and support teams to provide technical insights, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the resolution of customer-reported problems, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
