📋 Description

  • • Join Savvy Insurance Services, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, Platform, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of wealth management technology. We are on a mission to modernize an archaic and inefficient industry, where low technology penetration and manual processes hinder both client experience and advisor efficiency. Savvy is building the most advisor-centric platform in wealth management, a digital-first solution designed to empower financial advisors with AI-powered software, automated sales and marketing tools, and seamless back-office workflows. Our platform enables advisors to scale faster, reduce time spent on non-client-facing tasks, and ultimately dedicate more time to their clients. We have achieved significant traction, surpassing $2.2 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM) in less than three years and experiencing over 600% growth in the last 18 months. With over $105 million in funding from top-tier investors like Thrive Capital and Index Ventures, we are poised for rapid expansion and continued revenue growth. This is your opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-growing company at a crucial inflection point.
  • • As a Senior Software Engineer on our Platform team, you will be instrumental in enhancing the developer experience and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our core infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on owning and continuously improving our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that deployments are confident, low-friction, and consistent across all services and environments. This involves not just maintaining existing systems but proactively identifying opportunities for enhancement and automation to accelerate our release cycles and improve overall engineering velocity.
  • • You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust local and cloud development environments. The goal is to empower our engineers to spin up, test, and debug changes with minimal setup friction and predictable outcomes. This includes streamlining the developer workflow, reducing the cognitive load associated with environment management, and ensuring that developers have the tools and environments they need to be productive from day one. Your work will directly impact the speed and quality of software delivery across the entire engineering organization.
  • • A critical aspect of this role involves standardizing alerting, metrics, and logging across all our systems. By implementing comprehensive observability practices, you will enable quick diagnosis of issues, reduce time spent on reactive firefighting, and foster a more proactive approach to system health. This includes selecting and integrating best-in-class monitoring tools to provide deep insights into system performance and user behavior.
  • • We expect you to systematically identify and resolve developer experience pain points. This could range from addressing slow or flaky test suites and unreliable builds to clarifying error messages and ensuring comprehensive documentation. Your efforts will directly contribute to a more positive and productive engineering culture. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to introduce strategic automation, such as intelligent test selection, automated release validation, and infrastructure health checks, where these initiatives demonstrably improve velocity or safety. This role also embraces the future of engineering by leveraging AI to accelerate various workflows, including code review, test generation, and infrastructure management, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in software development.
  • • Collaboration is key. You will partner closely with product engineering teams to drive the adoption of platform improvements. This will be achieved through building trust, demonstrating value, and fostering a collaborative relationship, rather than through mandates. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and influence cross-functional teams will be essential for success. You will be a champion for best practices in platform engineering, infrastructure, and developer productivity, helping to elevate the technical capabilities of the entire organization. This role offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on a rapidly growing fintech company, contributing to a product that is revolutionizing the wealth management industry.
