- • Join Magical, a pioneering company revolutionizing the healthcare industry with state-of-the-art AI agentic automation. We are building 'AI employees' designed to tackle the immense administrative complexity within healthcare, a sector valued at $4 trillion. Our mission is to automate time-consuming and repetitive workflows, such as claims processing, prior authorizations, and eligibility checks, thereby liberating healthcare providers to dedicate more time and resources to patient care.
- • Magical is at the forefront of this inevitable shift towards agentic automation in healthcare. Our traction speaks volumes: we've witnessed dramatic acceleration in revenue growth, with existing customers enthusiastically expanding into new automated workflows even before their contracts renew. Our proof-of-concept cycles are remarkably fast, often completing in just 7 days – a stark contrast to the months typically required in this industry. Crucially, our automations are self-healing and designed for production-grade reliability at scale, an area where many competitors falter. Unlike other AI companies that make grand promises, Magical delivers tangible, reliable solutions that yield measurable results. We are proud to be backed by prominent investors like Greylock, Coatue, and Lightspeed, having raised $41 million. Our founder, Harpaul Sambhi, is a seasoned entrepreneur with a successful track record, having previously sold his first company to LinkedIn.
- • As a Senior Software Engineer on the Builder Experience team, you will play a pivotal role in developing the full-stack features that empower our users to create, configure, and deploy sophisticated AI agents. This is a unique opportunity to own the entire product surface, from crafting intuitive no-code interfaces for agent configuration to building robust real-time monitoring dashboards and advanced evaluation tools. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about building delightful product experiences and understand that exceptional user experience is the key to making powerful technology accessible and effective.
- • You will collaborate closely with our customers and design team to ship features that not only make agent development feel 'magical' but also deeply leverage your understanding of the underlying agent systems to build the most effective abstractions. Your work will directly impact how healthcare professionals interact with and benefit from AI automation.
- • Key responsibilities include:
- • Building beautiful, intuitive, and robust full-stack features for the entire lifecycle of AI agent development, encompassing configuration, testing, and deployment.
- • Designing and implementing innovative no-code tools that enable non-technical users to effectively guide, manage, and evaluate the performance of AI agents.
- • Creating sophisticated real-time monitoring and debugging experiences that provide clear, actionable insights into agent behavior and performance.
- • Developing advanced simulation and evaluation interfaces that empower teams to rigorously test and ensure the correct functioning of their AI agents before and during production.
- • Owning the end-to-end agent development workflow, from the initial concept and creation phase through to seamless production deployment and ongoing management.
- • Engaging directly with our diverse customer base to deeply understand their unique needs, challenges, and workflows, and using this feedback to rapidly iterate and improve our product offerings.
- • Contributing to a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the engineering team.
- • You will be instrumental in shaping the future of how AI is integrated into critical healthcare operations, ensuring our platform is not just powerful but also user-friendly and reliable.
- • This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring 3 days per week in our San Francisco office, fostering a blend of focused remote work and collaborative in-person engagement.
- • We are building the premier self-serve agentic automation platform for the healthcare industry, and we are just at the beginning of an exciting journey. Your contributions will be foundational to our success and the impact we make in healthcare.
