As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Rust for backend development, you will play a pivotal role within our world-class team, working on critical trading infrastructure that powers Kraken Pro, Desktop, Wallet, and Kraken Futures.
- • The Pro team is at the heart of Kraken's trading operations, responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of core trading backend services. This includes the sophisticated matching engine that facilitates millions of trades, high-throughput market data gateways that provide real-time information, and robust internal and external APIs that connect our platform to the wider ecosystem. You will be instrumental in enhancing and scaling these systems, ensuring they are performant, secure, and reliable.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation, testing, and deployment. You will be designing and implementing robust Rust services and libraries, focusing on creating code that is not only functional but also reusable, testable, and highly efficient. This involves deep dives into complex distributed systems architecture, where you'll collaborate with experienced engineers to shape the future of our trading platform.

🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- • Proven proficiency in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust.
