• • Collaborate closely with the core infrastructure team to optimize cloud deployments, focusing on technologies like Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, and EC2.
• • Partner with product engineering teams to minimize service disruptions and automate incident response processes, ensuring swift and effective resolution of issues.
• • Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve complex reliability challenges across various business units and the entire technology stack.
• • Develop innovative software solutions that deliver step-function improvements in system reliability and performance.
• • Act as a mentor and educator for the broader engineering team, sharing deep knowledge and best practices to foster a strong culture of reliability.
• • Write high-quality, well-tested code that directly addresses customer needs and enhances system robustness.
• • Tackle and debug extremely challenging technical problems, improving system functionality, ease of deployment, operation, and diagnosis.
• • Review feature designs across product areas and company-wide projects, ensuring architectural clarity, security, safety, and scalability.
• • Take ownership of the security, safety, scale, operational integrity, and architectural soundness of system designs.
• • Build robust pipelines for seamless integration with third-party vendors.
• • Participate in an on-call rotation, providing critical troubleshooting and resolution for urgent production issues outside of standard business hours.
• • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development and operational processes, advocating for reliability-first principles.
• • Drive initiatives to improve system performance, latency, and throughput, especially for high-demand services.
• • Engage in blameless post-mortems to identify root causes of incidents and implement preventative measures.
