Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Architect and own the end-to-end implementation of next-generation gameplay systems for an unannounced, genre-defining mobile title that will reach tens of millions of players worldwide. You will translate high-level design pillars into elegant, performant code that delights players and scales across devices and regions.
- • Partner daily with designers, artists, product managers, and live-ops teams to co-create a shared product vision. You’ll run white-board sessions, build rapid prototypes, and turn wireframes into shippable features that feel magical in the player’s hands.
- • Establish and evangelize best-in-class engineering standards for code architecture, performance budgets, and automated testing. Your patterns will be reused by the entire studio, raising the bar for every future project we ship.
- • Build reusable tools, pipelines, and editor extensions that accelerate content creation and reduce iteration time from days to minutes. You’ll empower non-engineers to self-serve and iterate without bottlenecks.
- • Design and maintain resilient back-end services that support real-time multiplayer, live events, and dynamic content delivery. You’ll ensure low-latency, high-availability systems that gracefully handle traffic spikes during global launches.
- • Optimize client-side performance across a wide spectrum of iOS and Android hardware, squeezing every millisecond out of frame budgets while preserving visual fidelity and battery life.
- • Monitor live telemetry, crash reports, and player feedback to identify, triage, and resolve critical issues within hours—not days—keeping the community happy and retention high.
- • Champion a culture of psychological safety and continuous learning. You’ll mentor mid-level engineers, run architecture reviews, and share post-mortems that turn mistakes into studio-wide knowledge.
- • Experiment with cutting-edge tech—AI-assisted tooling, procedural content, advanced shaders—to push the boundaries of what mobile games can deliver.
- • Contribute to the creative process beyond code: pitch mechanics, balance numbers, and refine UX flows until the moment-to-moment gameplay feels irresistibly fun.
- • Collaborate with platform holders (Apple, Google) and external SDK partners to integrate new OS features, monetization APIs, and social services ahead of the competition.
- • Maintain a pragmatic, player-first mindset: every line of code you write must serve the ultimate goal of making our next title the most joyful, inclusive, and globally successful game we’ve ever shipped.
