  • • As a Senior Software Maintenance Engineer within Red Hat's Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team, you will be instrumental in providing outstanding technical support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and other Red Hat products, particularly focusing on networking and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • • You will serve as a critical liaison between our valued customers and our internal developer and quality engineering (QE) teams, ensuring that customer feedback is effectively integrated to continuously enhance the quality and performance of Red Hat's offerings.
  • • Your primary responsibility will involve diagnosing and troubleshooting a wide array of complex technical issues encountered by customers. This includes, but is not limited to, intricate problems related to packet loss, network bonding and teaming configurations, IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, Control Groups (cgroups), firewall management (iptables), load balancing, and network interface controller (NIC) functionality.
  • • A key aspect of this role is performing thorough root cause analysis for these complex issues, providing clear and actionable solutions to customers.
  • • You will engage with customers who are often the highest-level technical contacts, such as system administrators, architects, and solution engineers, requiring a high degree of technical expertise and communication proficiency.

  • • The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a deep dive into the most complex customer and technical challenges, and a commitment to continuous skill enhancement, both technically and interpersonally.
  • • You will be expected to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating an open-minded and collaborative approach to problem-solving and knowledge sharing.
  • • While not a direct development role, your insights from customer interactions will be invaluable in shaping product development and quality assurance efforts, making this a pivotal position in the product lifecycle.
  • • You will leverage your expertise in Linux networking to support customers across diverse hybrid cloud environments, ensuring the stability and performance of their critical systems.
  • • The ability to communicate fluently in Mandarin is a mandatory requirement for this position, enabling effective support for a significant customer segment.

  • • This role is remote, based in Australia, offering flexibility while requiring dedication to Red Hat's global support standards and customer commitments.
