📋 Description

• As a Senior or Staff Growth Product Designer at Pleo, you will shape the self-serve and onboarding experiences that determine whether new customers discover, activate, and derive real value from Pleo’s spend management platform—directly impacting activation, conversion, and long-term retention for over 40,000 businesses across Europe.
• You will own end-to-end design for key product-led growth (PLG) surfaces including signup flows, onboarding sequences, in-product activation, freemium-to-paid conversion, and self-serve upgrade experiences, working within a high-velocity, data-informed pod alongside product, engineering, data science, and content design to run experiments, test hypotheses, and ship work that moves critical business metrics.
• You’ll collaborate closely with Research and Analytics to uncover behavioural drivers and blockers, partner with Brand to ensure the self-serve experience reflects Pleo’s distinctive identity, and contribute to the evolution of Pleo’s design system (Telescope) by identifying gaps and pushing patterns forward.

• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in growth design, learn to balance craft with velocity, influence cross-functional strategy, and grow into a leader who shapes frameworks, mentors peers, and defines what excellent experimentation looks like across Pleo’s design organisation.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience designing in a product-led growth (PLG) or growth context, with proven work on onboarding, activation, self-serve conversion, or freemium flows and a strong understanding of growth design principles.
• A portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft and measurable impact, including the thinking behind your work—such as hypothesis formation, experiment design, data-informed iteration, and clear links between design decisions and business outcomes.
• Comfort operating in a highly quantitative environment: ability to read funnels, form testable hypotheses, design experiments to validate them, and interpret results to drive next steps.
• Proven experience collaborating effectively with data science, analytics, and research teams, knowing when to lean on each partner’s expertise to strengthen design decisions.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, particularly at Staff level, with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly and bring cross-functional partners along on strategic decisions beyond your immediate team.
• Pragmatic judgement in balancing design fidelity with speed, knowing when to ship fast to learn and when to invest in higher-fidelity solutions based on context and risk.
