Senior/Staff/Principal Service Designer (CMS)

📋 Description

• • As a Senior/Staff/Principal Service Designer at Skylight, you will lead the design and implementation of government services that improve how public agencies serve families, patients, and communities, working directly with CMS and state Medicaid agencies to meet critical community engagement requirements.
• • You will lead strategy and planning for service design engagements, conduct research and synthesis, generate ideas through ideation, prototype solutions, and implement changes across organizational, operational, technological, and physical components of services while maintaining thorough documentation.
• • You will work within a mission-driven digital consultancy that partners with government to modernize public services, operating at the policy–tech boundary to translate federal mandates into functional systems, APIs, and workflows using agile, human-centered methods.
• • You will develop expertise in translating complex policy into working systems, gain hands-on experience with healthcare and public benefits programs, and grow your ability to deliver tangible outcomes in high-stakes, fast-paced environments while contributing to meaningful public impact.
