📋 Description

• As a Senior/Staff Product Designer at n8n, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of an open workflow orchestration platform that empowers technical teams to automate with both code and no-code flexibility, directly impacting how developers and builders worldwide scale ideas through AI-powered automation.
• Your work will drive measurable outcomes across high-impact areas such as Enterprise, AI, Growth, or Marketplace teams, where you’ll lead end-to-end design to simplify complex technical workflows, improve usability, and elevate the platform’s coherence and quality at scale.
• You’ll join a remote-first, fast-growing company of over 220 builders spanning Europe and the US, rooted in Berlin, with a strong engineering culture, a passionate open-source community of 650K+ users, and backing from top-tier investors including Sequoia, fueling a $2.5B valuation.
• In this role, you will lead the full product design lifecycle — from discovery and research to polished delivery — collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to ship visually cohesive, technically sound features that improve UX with every release.
• You will champion user-centered design by conducting interviews, usability tests, and research to inform decisions, while mastering feedback loops to synthesize input, give actionable critique, and continuously raise the team’s design bar.
• You will apply systems thinking to ensure your designs integrate seamlessly into the broader n8n platform, accounting for edge cases, technical constraints, and interaction details to prevent user errors and maintain consistency across shared components and patterns.
• You will influence team strategy by tying design decisions to KPIs, helping shape prioritization and scope, and exploring AI and automation tools to innovate your practice and advance AI-powered workflows.
• You will operate with ownership and autonomy in an MVP-driven environment, balancing speed and quality while driving ambiguous, multifaceted problems to completion with initiative and focus.
• You will contribute to a culture of craft and experimentation, where design is valued as a strategic lever, and your work directly impacts real outcomes shipped to a global community of builders.

🎯 Requirements

• Product design excellence: Proficiency across product design, UX, UI, and qualitative research, with a track record of delivering polished, detail-oriented work.
• Technical mindset: Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and understand software development, including common web technologies.
• Ownership & delivery: Proven experience shipping end-to-end features in smaller teams or startups, with the ability to drive complex problems to measurable outcomes.
• Fast, focused execution: Comfort operating at high speed in an MVP-driven environment, balancing quality and velocity amid ambiguity.
• Outcome orientation: Use of research and metrics to inform design decisions and consistently deliver solutions that enable team KPIs.
• Feedback & collaboration: Openness to critique and skill in providing actionable feedback that elevates teammates’ work and raises the team’s design bar.
• Curiosity for AI: Enthusiasm for AI and innovation, with active exploration of new tools and approaches to advance design practice.
• Experience level: 5+ years in product design with demonstrable impact on shipped products.
