Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Zip is at the forefront of revolutionizing how modern businesses operate in the age of Artificial Intelligence. We are tackling the pervasive complexity inherent in the process of purchasing software, services, and tools within organizations, even those considered highly innovative. The global enterprise spend on these necessities exceeds $120 trillion annually, a figure more than 30 times the size of annual consumer e-commerce spending, underscoring the critical reliance businesses have on their vendors for day-to-day operations.
  • • Founded in 2020, Zip has pioneered a new category with its purpose-built procurement platform, delivering a user experience that rivals consumer-grade applications. In a remarkably short period, Zip has established itself as the leading solution in this rapidly expanding market, estimated at over $50 billion in Total Addressable Market (TAM). Today, the world's most influential companies, including OpenAI, Snowflake, Anthropic, Coinbase, and JPMorgan Chase, leverage Zip to manage billions of dollars in procurement spend.
  • • Our team comprises exceptional talent drawn from category-defining companies such as Airbnb, Meta, Stripe, Salesforce, Apple, and Google. With a substantial valuation of $2.2 billion and $370 million in funding from prominent investors like Y Combinator, Tiger Global, BOND, DST Global, and CRV, we are strategically focused on developing groundbreaking technology, expanding our global reach, and, most importantly, delivering unparalleled value to our customers. We invite you to join us on this exhilarating journey.
  • • As we experience rapid growth in 2026, we are seeking to onboard a talented Product Designer to become an early and integral member of our product design team. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly influence both the product itself and the evolution of the design function within the company. You will be instrumental in shaping the user experience of our core product areas, which encompass a broad spectrum of functionalities including request management, no-code workflow builders, insightful dashboards, strategic sourcing, and efficient payment processing.
  • • You will collaborate within a close-knit, agile team that places a high value on open communication, transparent feedback, and robust cross-functional collaboration. Our modus operandi is to move with speed and agility, addressing a diverse array of complex product challenges with an unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional end-user experience. This role requires a hybrid presence, with team members expected to be in our San Francisco office three days per week.
  • • Key responsibilities will include contributing strategic insights to the product roadmap and feature development, designing highly intuitive and effective products and features tailored for complex enterprise workflows, and taking full ownership of the overall user experience for a designated product area. You will work in close partnership with our product management and customer-facing teams to gain a deep understanding of our users' needs and challenges, translating these insights into thoughtful and impactful design solutions.
  • • The role involves iterating rapidly on designs based on qualitative and quantitative user feedback, ensuring that solutions are user-centric and effective. You will also partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other key stakeholders throughout the entire product development lifecycle – from initial brainstorming and definition to final implementation of new features and offerings. Regular participation in design reviews will be crucial for gathering constructive feedback from the broader design team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared learning.
  • • This position is ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about creating elegant solutions for complex business problems. You will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on a product used by some of the world's leading companies, shaping the future of enterprise procurement.
