- • As a Senior Staff Software Engineer on the Model LifeCycle team at Crusoe Energy Systems LLC, you will architect the foundational infrastructure for the entire AI model development lifecycle, enabling scalable, sustainable, and high-performance training, fine-tuning, and deployment of Large Language Models (LLMs) and advanced ML workflows—directly empowering the next generation of AI innovation on Crusoe’s vertically integrated AI infrastructure stack.
- • You will lead end-to-end ownership of mission-critical systems including model fine-tuning orchestration (SFT, PEFT, LoRA, adapters), robust training pipelines (distillation, PPO/DPO, reward modeling), agent execution infrastructure, and comprehensive lifecycle management for datasets, models, and experiments—ensuring versioning, lineage, and reproducibility at enterprise scale while shaping long-term architectural decisions around training runtimes, scheduling, and storage.
- • You will collaborate closely with product, business, and platform teams to translate complex technical needs into intuitive, high-performance APIs and actively engage with the open-source LLM community (e.g., vLLM, DeepSpeed) to keep Crusoe at the forefront of AI infrastructure innovation, driving both technical excellence and ecosystem influence.

🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- • 8–12+ years of professional engineering experience, with significant focus on AI/ML infrastructure and high-impact 0→1 project delivery
- • Expert-level proficiency in cloud infrastructure (elastic compute, object storage, virtual networking, managed databases) and deep technical experience in Generative AI, LLM training, and large-scale inference systems
