📋 Description

• Senior Systems Engineer – L3 role focused on enterprise backup and recovery systems, ensuring data protection and disaster recovery readiness for global clients.
• Design, implement, optimize, and support enterprise backup platforms, primarily Cohesity DataProtect and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, with expert-level troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Lead critical restores, perform root cause analysis, manage backup policies and SLAs, and drive platform upgrades and migrations.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing, ensure compliance with RPO/RTO and security standards, and support hybrid/cloud data protection strategies.
• Automate operations using scripting, mentor L1/L2 engineers, create technical documentation, and act as a technical advisor to clients and internal teams.
• Work in 24x7 shift rotations (1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST) within a global, client-facing team at Ensono, a hybrid IT services provider with nearly 50 years of experience modernizing IT infrastructure.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities, reducing operational risk, and supporting innovation in data protection for forward-thinking enterprises.

🎯 Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in enterprise backup or data protection roles
• Strong administration experience with Cohesity DataProtect and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager / IBM Spectrum Protect
• Proficiency in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux/RHEL, SUSE, AIX)
• Experience with ServiceNow for ITSM and enterprise backup concepts (incremental/full, deduplication, replication)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills; ability to lead during high-severity incidents
• Comfortable working in client-facing, globally distributed teams and 24x7 shift environments
