- • The Senior Systems Triage Engineer (ML & Embedded Systems) plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and successful deployment of autonomous vehicles by evaluating performance data and test results from on-road, simulation, and off-road hardware testing, providing actionable feedback to development teams.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include triaging system-level issues such as sensor inputs, logic, embedded resources, and training data anomalies; analyzing test escapes; creating tooling for root cause analysis; tracking high-priority defects; and reporting system performance metrics using defect ratios and software heatmaps.
- • The Release department at Torc Robotics is responsible for rigorous testing processes, advanced data collection, and system performance analysis to support the safe deployment of autonomous trucking software, operating within a safety-critical, fast-paced engineering environment.
- • In this role, you will drive thought leadership and cross-functional collaboration to evolve system triage and forensics processes, particularly for machine learning components, while gaining deep expertise in safety-critical systems, autonomous vehicle validation, and large-scale software maturity tracking.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical field with 6+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
- • 4+ years of industry experience leading test programs with focus on system triage, defect tracking and impact analysis.
- • Experience with complex embedded systems including ADAS technologies i.e. autonomous driving software architecture, sensors, networking, compute hardware, control systems.
- • Experience with Python programming for data analysis (experience with SQL a plus!).
- • Experience with software development tools i.e. build systems, containers, source control etc.
- • Experience with software for real-time or safety-critical systems.
