- • The Senior Technical Specialist is responsible for documentation, training, expertise, and guidance on assigned instruments within the service organization, working closely with technical specialists and new product engineers to transition new products to field operations.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting complex equipment issues, providing on-site customer support, conducting on-the-job and classroom training, leading first-time installations of new instruments, preparing technical reports for the factory, maintaining technical knowledge, managing travel inventory, and performing preventive and emergency service on equipment.
- • The role is part of Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc.'s Metrology and Analysis Systems Division (MAD), supporting field service operations and collaborating with national service teams, product support groups, and factory personnel in Japan and domestically.
- • The position offers opportunities to develop advanced technical expertise in electronic and mechanical systems, gain experience in international equipment transitions, lead training initiatives, and grow into a technical leadership role within a global service organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • AS degree in electronics or relevant field (BS in Electronics Engineering preferred)
- • BSEET or equivalent certification, or ASEET certification plus two additional years of related experience
- • One year of experience as a Technical Specialist at HTA and five years of direct field service experience at HTA
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to convey technical information to customers and managers
- • Solid electronics and mechanical skills, including ability to work from schematics using test equipment and perform mathematical calculations
- • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company credit card; willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally
