- • As a Senior Tenable Engineer at CACI International Inc, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and maintaining the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS) initiative.
- • This is a critical position where you will be instrumental in building, refining, and sustaining a robust Tenable architecture, directly contributing to the security and compliance posture of vital national defense systems.
- • You will collaborate closely with the ACAS Solution Architect, Chief Architect, and Chief Engineer, providing essential technical expertise and support to the ACAS Project Manager.
- • Your responsibilities will span across various cutting-edge technology domains, including Azure Cloud environments, Red Hat Linux operating systems, and the full suite of Tenable Software Solutions for ACAS.
- • A significant aspect of your role will involve developing and implementing automation scripts using languages such as Python and PowerShell, alongside other necessary scripting languages, to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- • You will be actively involved in the development and maintenance of an enterprise-level Red Hat Linux Operating Infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with RHEL Satellite and RHEL Ansible for robust system management.
- • The role also requires expertise in deploying and maintaining Kubernetes containers within both Azure and VMWare Hypervisor environments, showcasing your proficiency in modern containerization technologies.
- • You will contribute to the Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), working in conjunction with the ACAS Engineering Lead to ensure project timelines and milestones are met effectively.
- • A key objective will be to identify and implement technical continuous improvement initiatives and project execution efficiencies, driving innovation and optimizing existing processes and practices.
- • You will lead investigations to pinpoint the root causes of technical issues and problems, developing and implementing effective solutions to ensure system stability and performance.
- • Developing clear and concise topology and flow diagrams in collaboration with team technical staff will be essential for documenting system architecture and operational flows.
- • You will be responsible for developing and delivering compelling solution presentation materials to internal teams, program stakeholders, and engineering groups, effectively communicating technical concepts and strategies.
- • A crucial part of your contribution will be to develop automation scripts and code efficiencies, significantly reducing manual effort and enhancing the scalability of ACAS deployments.
- • You will be expected to perform and maintain an enterprise Red Hat Linux Operating Infrastructure, ensuring its optimal performance and security through integrations with RHEL Satellite and RHEL Ansible.
- • The deployment and ongoing maintenance of Kubernetes containers within Azure and VMWare Hypervisors will be a core responsibility, demonstrating your expertise in cloud-native technologies.
- • You will be tasked with ensuring that all Department of the Air Force internal Gate Reviews are passed without rejection, highlighting the quality and compliance of your work.
- • A key performance indicator will be your ability to effectively white-board the ACAS solution ad-hoc with the project team, demonstrating a deep understanding without solely relying on existing documentation.
- • You will be expected to implement identified process improvements on a quarterly basis, showcasing a commitment to ongoing operational excellence and efficiency.
- • This role offers the opportunity to lead temporary teams of less than 10 engineers for ad hoc projects, developing your leadership and project management skills.
