- • As a Senior UX Designer at Cubic Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our innovative transportation and defense technology solutions. You will be instrumental in translating complex user needs and business requirements into intuitive, engaging, and effective digital products that simplify daily journeys and enhance mission success.
- • This role is deeply embedded within agile product teams, requiring a collaborative spirit and the ability to contribute to the entire design lifecycle, from initial concept and research through to detailed UI design and prototyping.
- • You will be responsible for conducting user research, including formal and informal usability studies, to gather critical insights that will inform and validate design decisions. This proactive approach ensures that our products are not only functional but also deeply aligned with user expectations and behaviors.
- • A key aspect of your work will involve designing responsive web and mobile applications. You will leverage modern wireframing, UI, and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, to create high-fidelity designs that clearly communicate user flows, interaction patterns, and visual aesthetics.
- • You will be expected to integrate best practices, available data, and research findings into your design process, ensuring that every decision is grounded in evidence and user-centric principles.
- • The role demands a strong ability to incorporate feedback from a diverse range of stakeholders, including end-users, internal teams, and external customers. Your capacity to synthesize this feedback and iterate on designs will be crucial for product refinement and success.
- • You will contribute to building, growing, and implementing design systems, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across our product portfolio. This involves establishing and maintaining design guidelines, component libraries, and best practices.
- • Experience working across both B2C (Business-to-Consumer) and B2B (Business-to-Business) product environments will be highly valued, as you will be contributing to a range of solutions catering to different user groups and market needs.
- • As a Senior UX Designer, you will act as a thought leader, influencing design strategy and advocating for user-centered design principles throughout the organization. You will mentor junior designers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes and methodologies.
- • Your ability to effectively communicate design concepts, rationale, and outcomes to cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, will be essential for driving alignment and successful product development.
- • You will be involved in identifying user research needs and planning research activities to uncover user pain points, motivations, and opportunities for innovation.
- • The role requires a deep understanding of interaction design principles, information architecture, and visual design to create seamless and delightful user experiences.
- • You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure the feasibility and accurate implementation of designs, providing clear documentation and support during the development phase.
- • This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging and impactful projects within the transportation and defense sectors, contributing to technologies that have a real-world effect on people's lives and national security.
- • You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest UX/UI trends, tools, and technologies, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the team.
- • The Senior UX Designer will be a key contributor to fostering a culture of design excellence within Cubic, promoting empathy for the user and a commitment to delivering high-quality, user-centered products.
- • You will have the autonomy to drive design initiatives, from concept to execution, and see your work directly impact the success of Cubic's product offerings.
- • This role is ideal for a seasoned designer who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is passionate about creating impactful user experiences.
- • You will be responsible for the end-to-end design process for specific product features or entire products, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive user journey.
- • The ability to balance user needs with business goals and technical constraints will be a hallmark of your success in this role.
- • You will contribute to defining the product vision from a user experience perspective, ensuring that user needs are at the forefront of product strategy.
- • Your work will involve creating wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design ideas and gather feedback.
- • You will actively participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented design team.
- • The Senior UX Designer will be a champion for accessibility and inclusive design, ensuring that our products are usable by everyone, regardless of their abilities or background.
- • You will work with product managers to define user stories and requirements, ensuring that design solutions directly address identified needs.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the direction of technology in critical sectors, making a tangible difference through thoughtful and user-centered design.
- • You will be expected to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and delivering high-quality work within project timelines.
