📋 Description

• • Shape the future of financial technology as a founding member of ION Group’s brand-new design team in Italy. You will be the strategic force behind products that power trading floors and treasury departments worldwide, translating intricate capital-markets workflows into elegant, high-impact experiences.
• • Own the full design lifecycle—from deep user research in Milan trading rooms to pixel-perfect prototypes reviewed by Pisa-based engineers—ensuring every screen, interaction, and micro-animation drives measurable business value and user delight.
• • Run immersive discovery workshops with portfolio managers, risk officers, and quantitative analysts to map mental models, pain points, and opportunity spaces; synthesize findings into actionable insights that steer product roadmaps and executive decisions.
• • Craft end-to-end user journeys, low-fidelity sketches, mid-fidelity wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes in Figma; test iteratively with traders under real market conditions and refine until latency, accuracy, and cognitive load are optimized.
• • Champion user-centred design principles in every backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release review; confidently challenge legacy assumptions and evangelize evidence-based decisions across Product, Engineering, and Compliance stakeholders.
• • Collaborate shoulder-to-shoulder with UI designers to evolve a scalable, accessible design system that unifies desktop, web, and mobile touchpoints; document components, tokens, and usage guidelines so engineers can ship consistent experiences at speed.
• • Provide clear, concise design specs and verbal guidance to front-end and back-end teams; pair program when necessary to ensure interactions, data states, and edge cases match user expectations and regulatory requirements.
• • Mentor junior designers and contribute to an inclusive, feedback-rich culture where critique is kind, constructive, and focused on raising the collective quality bar; organize monthly design share-outs and cross-functional learning sessions.
• • Measure success through usability benchmarks, task-completion rates, and revenue impact; iterate relentlessly, turning analytics and user feedback into backlog items that continuously elevate the product’s competitive edge.
• • Travel occasionally between Milan and Pisa hubs (and virtually to global offices) to maintain alignment, run contextual inquiries, and strengthen relationships with distributed squads operating in Agile Scrum or Kanban cadences.
