- • As a Senior UX Designer at Checkly Group Inc., you will lead the end-to-end design of a developer-focused DevTool SaaS platform that unifies testing, monitoring, and observability—empowering engineers at companies like 1Password, CrowdStrike, and Vercel to ensure application reliability from pull request to post-mortem. Your work will directly shape how developers interact with performance data, making complex systems intuitive and actionable.
- • You will drive the product design vision by leading exploration, prototyping, and iteration of new features, collaborating closely with Product Managers and frontend engineers to bridge design and development through code-based prototyping and implementation feedback loops.
- • You will maintain and evolve Checkly’s design system in partnership with engineering, ensuring scalability, accessibility, and performance across data-heavy interfaces involving graphs, tables, and charts, while advocating for high UI/UX and developer experience standards.
- • You will engage regularly with customer success and support teams, as well as direct user feedback, to deeply understand real-world problems and translate them into thoughtful, evidence-based design solutions.
- • You will integrate AI tools—including Claude, Figma AI, Pencil, and Raycast—into your daily workflow to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and code iteration, actively pushing the boundaries of AI-assisted design while maintaining pragmatic tradeoffs.
- • You will operate autonomously in a remote-first, async-first culture with minimal meetings and high productivity, managing multiple projects simultaneously while contributing to a transparent, inclusive, and documentation-driven team environment.
- • You will grow your expertise in designing for technical users, mastering data visualization in developer tools, and advancing your ability to blend design thinking with frontend implementation—positioning you at the forefront of modern DevTool UX innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience designing data-heavy screens, including complex graphs, tables, and charts for technical or developer-facing applications.
- • Demonstrated experience working on and contributing to design systems, with understanding of scalability, accessibility, and component library maintenance.
- • Background as a frontend engineer or strong ability to prototype and implement designs in code (e.g., Vue.js, TypeScript, Tailwind) when needed.
- • Deep comfort and habitual use of AI tools (such as Claude, Figma AI, Raycast, Pencil) to accelerate design, prototyping, and code iteration.
- • Ability to visualize and prototype ideas quickly and confidently, using AI to move faster without becoming overly attached to initial concepts.
- • Excellent spoken and written English skills, with proven ability to communicate clearly in async, remote-first environments.
- • Strong self-motivation and autonomy, thriving in low-meeting, high-productivity remote work settings while remaining collaborative and supportive of peers.
