- • Senior Video Editor responsible for leading the quality, direction, and performance of video content for a company producing podcasts for startup founders, operators, and investors across Australia, where video is central to content delivery and audience engagement.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include setting and maintaining editorial standards and templates, defining best practices for pacing and storytelling, reviewing outputs for quality and brand consistency, running content reviews using performance data, leading and developing a team of video editors, designing and implementing workflows, managing workloads and delivery across shows, providing structured feedback, guiding editors on creative decisions, collaborating with hosts to shape episodes, working with sales and operations teams during client-facing meetings, communicating feasibility and managing expectations, translating feedback into actionable direction, acting as primary point of contact across shows, advising on short-form strategy and YouTube optimisation, applying audience behaviour insights, using performance data to refine creative direction, and stepping in on key edits or complex projects to set benchmarks and support the team during high-volume periods.
- • The team operates remotely under Australian working hours, producing podcast-style video content at the intersection of tech, business, and storytelling, with a focus on high-quality, resonant video that supports audience reach and engagement; the company values creative leadership, consistency, and client collaboration in delivering premium content.
- • The role offers the opportunity to shape creative standards across all video outputs, lead and mentor a team of editors, influence content performance through data-informed strategy, develop stakeholder and client management skills, refine expertise in long-form and short-form editing for business and tech audiences, and establish benchmarks for quality and consistency in a growing media environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with an active subscription required
- • Strong experience editing both long-form and short-form content
- • Proven ability to optimise existing systems and workflows and drive end-to-end improvements across the production process
- • Proven experience leading or mentoring editors
- • Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders on creative deliverables
- • Ability to confidently communicate and present creative decisions
- • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
