  • • The Service Installation Specialist guides on-site field technicians through installation procedures and best practices to deploy fixed wireless solutions in enterprise environments, ensuring successful first-time installations within budgeted timeframes.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading on-site installation processes, performing basic to advanced network troubleshooting of equipment for end-users and enterprise customers, documenting and maintaining installation results in ticketing and knowledgebase systems, and assisting with equipment testing and configuration.
  • • The role is part of Semtech Corporation’s Atlanta-based installation support group, operating Monday–Friday with potential for occasional overnight and weekend shifts, working closely with support teams, management, and network engineers to resolve customer issues and maintain accurate database records.
  • • The specialist will develop advanced troubleshooting expertise, deepen knowledge of fixed wireless and enterprise networking technologies, and grow into a subject matter expert in managed service installations while contributing to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

🎯 Requirements

  • • High school diploma mandatory
  • • Basic networking skills (TCP/IP, DHCP, ICMP, TCP/UDP, telnet, SSH, LAN/WAN, NAT, Wi-Fi, Ethernet)
  • • Excellent written documentation skills
  • • Ability to work in 24x7x365 fast paced environment
  • • Self-motivated and works well with team members
  • • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • • Detail oriented and proficient typing and documenting results
  • • Proficiency with MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
