- • As a ServiceNow Solutions Technical Architect at Westerndigital, you will be at the forefront of shaping our enterprise architecture, defining the strategic direction, and establishing robust platform governance for our critical ServiceNow ecosystem. This senior, hands-on role is instrumental in architecting and designing scalable, secure, and high-performing ServiceNow solutions that deliver tangible business value across a wide spectrum of IT and operational domains. You will not only act as a visionary leader and solution designer but also serve as our internal subject matter expert, championing best practices, guiding project delivery teams, and ensuring we maximize the full potential of the ServiceNow platform without undue reliance on external vendors or ServiceNow's direct support.
- • **Architecture & Solution Design Leadership:** You will lead and own the architectural design of comprehensive ServiceNow solutions. This includes defining strategies for workflows, data structures, platform topology, and seamless integration patterns. A key aspect of your role will be to establish reusable solution frameworks and reference architectures that can be applied across various ServiceNow modules such as ITSM (IT Service Management), ITOM (IT Operations Management), HRSD (HR Service Delivery), and custom applications. Your ability to translate complex business needs into robust, technically sound designs, while strictly adhering to platform guardrails and established enterprise architecture standards, will be paramount.
- • **Modernization & Technical Debt Reduction:** A significant focus of this position will be driving the modernization of our legacy ServiceNow instances, particularly those that have become heavily customized over time. You will lead initiatives to systematically eliminate technical debt, strategically adopt out-of-the-box (OOB) capabilities where feasible, and ensure our platform aligns with current ServiceNow best practices and future-proof architectural principles.
- • **Platform & Product Expertise:** You are expected to maintain and continuously expand expert-level knowledge across the entire ServiceNow product suite. This encompasses a deep understanding of platform architecture, the intricacies of various modules, and the latest evolving features. Staying abreast of product releases, roadmap updates, and emerging industry trends is crucial for proactively guiding the adoption of new capabilities and ensuring Westerndigital remains at the cutting edge of ServiceNow utilization.
- • **Internal Authority & Best Practices:** You will serve as the primary internal authority on ServiceNow configuration, development patterns, and optimal feature usage. Your guidance will be essential in ensuring consistency, maintainability, and efficiency across all ServiceNow development and configuration efforts.
- • **Implementation Oversight & Quality Assurance:** You will provide critical technical oversight for all ServiceNow implementations and enhancement projects. This ensures that the solutions developed are not only functional but also scalable, maintainable, and aligned with architectural vision. You will collaborate closely with internal delivery teams and any implementation partners to uphold the highest standards of architectural quality and design intent throughout the project lifecycle.
- • **Agile Engagement & Business Partnership:** This role requires close collaboration with product owners and business stakeholders to effectively gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into user-centric, technically feasible solutions. You will actively participate in Agile planning and delivery processes, contributing to backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and supporting the incremental delivery of value.
- • **Integration & Performance Strategy:** You will be responsible for designing and governing robust integration strategies, leveraging tools like IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, and APIs for both real-time and batch data exchange. Architecting solutions that meet stringent enterprise standards for availability, performance, and security is a core responsibility.
- • **AI & Innovation Enablement:** You will play a key role in evaluating and guiding the responsible adoption of new platform capabilities, including ServiceNow's AI offerings, Generative AI (GenAI), agent-based automation, and other intelligent features as they become available. Your insights will help shape our innovation roadmap for the platform.
- • **Strategic Impact:** This is a strategic, hands-on technical leadership role that directly influences how Westerndigital designs, delivers, and governs solutions on the ServiceNow platform. As the ServiceNow Solutions Technical Architect, you will be the linchpin in ensuring the platform remains modern, efficient, and perfectly aligned with our overarching business priorities. You will be the recognized go-to expert for all matters related to architecture, innovation, and platform optimization, driving significant impact across the organization.
