📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end reliability of SS&C’s global private-cloud and Kubernetes platforms that power trading, portfolio accounting, and healthcare analytics for 18,000+ clients. You will architect self-healing infrastructure capable of handling billions of transactions with sub-second latency and zero-downtime deployments.
• • Partner with product, engineering, and security teams to embed SRE best practices from the first line of code through production. Translate business requirements into measurable SLOs/SLIs, then automate the guardrails that keep every release within error-budget and compliance mandates.
• • Drive large-scale migrations of legacy on-prem workloads into a modern, policy-as-code governed private cloud (VMware, OpenShift Virtualization, Kubernetes). Build reusable Terraform/Helm modules, golden-image pipelines, and automated conformance tests that cut provisioning time from days to minutes.
• • Eliminate toil by designing agentic workflows that auto-remediate common failure modes—failed health checks, certificate expiry, capacity hotspots—before a human pager fires. Instrument everything with Prometheus, Splunk, and custom exporters to turn raw metrics into actionable insights.
• • Champion blameless post-mortems and learning reviews that feed directly into backlog prioritization. Publish Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and Well-Architected Framework artifacts so every team can adopt proven patterns for high availability, security, and cost optimization.
• • Maintain 24×5 active coverage across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC with seamless regional hand-offs and weekend escalation playbooks. Participate in periodic disaster-recovery drills and chaos-engineering games to validate resiliency assumptions under real-world failure conditions.
• • Integrate DevSecOps and zero-trust controls into CI/CD: policy-as-code scanning, network micro-segmentation, secrets rotation, and immutable artifact signing. Ensure every change satisfies ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and financial-services regulatory requirements without slowing delivery velocity.
• • Mentor junior SREs and platform engineers through pair-programming, brown-bag sessions, and guild communities. Foster a culture of experimentation—spikes, proofs-of-concept, and hack-days—balanced by rigorous data-driven decision making and pragmatic risk management.
• • Continuously optimize cloud economics by rightsizing clusters, automating spot-instance orchestration, and implementing charge-back models that align infrastructure spend with business value. Report monthly KPI dashboards to executive stakeholders, translating technical metrics into ROI.
• • Travel occasionally (<25 %) to SS&C offices, client sites, and industry conferences to share thought leadership, gather feedback, and strengthen strategic partnerships across the global financial services and healthcare ecosystems.
