📋 Description

• As a Site Reliability Engineer at Cabify, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the platform that powers mobility services for millions of users across cities. Your work directly contributes to making urban transportation more efficient and accessible by maintaining the backbone of Cabify’s technology stack.
• Day to day, you will evolve infrastructure platforms by building self-service components, design and implement tooling for observability and scalability, define SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, participate in on-call rotations, collaborate with Product and Infrastructure teams on architecture, solve platform issues through automation, and contribute to hiring efforts to grow the engineering team.
• You will join Cabify’s Product & Engineering teams based in Madrid with a strong remote culture, working alongside engineers skilled in Ruby, Go, Elixir, JavaScript, and Python. The team is focused on greenfield projects and innovation, with ambitions to lead in the mobility and taxi app space through technical excellence and reliability.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS EKS, Terraform), observability (Grafana, Cortex), networking (service mesh, network policies), persistence layers (SQL/NoSQL), and CI/CD (GitLab). You’ll grow as a blend of systems engineer and software developer, mastering production engineering practices while influencing reliability culture across the organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong programming skills in at least one language, with ability to learn additional languages
• Experience with Unix, networking stack, OSI model, containers, schedulers, monitoring, and logging
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), Kubernetes (AWS EKS), and observability tools (Grafana, Cortex)
• Ability to automate tasks and eliminate toil through scripting and tooling
• Effective asynchronous communication skills and comfort working in English
• Mindset favoring simplicity, iterative action, and proactive problem-solving (KISS principle)
